Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit the website center42.tech (the "Site"), enroll in our programs, or use our consulting and educational services (the "Services"). We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and applicable Polish law.

1. Who is the data controller

In this Policy, "Center42", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the above.

2. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, country.
  • Enrollment and program data: information you provide when registering for a program (e.g., your background, business or startup details, application responses, participation records).
  • Billing data: billing name and address, tax/VAT identifiers, transaction details. Card details are processed directly by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: the content of emails, messages, and support requests you send us.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, and Site usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

You are not legally required to provide your data, but some data is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you (for example, we cannot enroll you in a program without your name and contact details).

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

4. Who we share your data with

We may share personal data with trusted third parties who act as our processors or independent controllers, only as necessary:

  • Payment providers (e.g., Stripe) — to process payments.
  • IT, hosting, email, and software providers — who host the Site and support our operations.
  • Analytics and marketing tools — where used and where you have consented (see Section 8).
  • Professional advisers (e.g., accountants, lawyers) and public authorities — where required by law.
  • Mentors, trainers, or program partners — where necessary to deliver a specific program in which you participate.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an adequacy decision by the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request more information about these safeguards using the contact details above.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described:

  • Enrollment and contractual data: for the duration of the engagement and afterward as needed to fulfil our obligations.
  • Accounting and tax records: for the period required by Polish law (generally 5 years from the end of the relevant tax year).
  • Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or object.
  • Data needed for legal claims: until the relevant limitation periods expire.

After these periods, we delete or anonymize the data.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy;
  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure ("right to be forgotten") where applicable;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time;
  • receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and request its portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember your preferences, and — where you consent — to analyze usage and support marketing. Essential cookies are necessary for the Site to work; non-essential cookies are used only with your consent, which you can manage or withdraw through the cookie settings on the Site or your browser.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

10. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on the Site with an updated effective date. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to inform you.
